The Beach & Bay club looks like a great opportunity. Does anyone know how it works?

While here visiting friends we looked at these homes and found them nice, but the advertisements on the web are "renditions" and not reality. Also we visited at high tide and there was no beach to drive our cart on. The Gulf went all the way up to the dunes. Is this false advertising? The house we looked at was nice but I wonder what would happen to it with the first hurricane.

We were visiting friends and took a look at these homes and found them very nice, if pricey. However, I was disapointed to find that the web site pictures were renditions and not real airal photoes. In reality it does not look like the pictures as few homes are actually built there. Also, there was no beach to drive the cart on as it was high tide and the water came up to the dunes, which are a little low in that area. My question is has there been any storm since this sub division was established that breached the dunes and came into the street there?

The renderings on the website include homes which have been designed, but not constructed. The developer's intent was to give buyers an idea of what the neighborhood will look like when homes are built. Apparently you were visiting during an abnormally high tide as the beach is usually wide enough to drive on. Last year when hurricane Ike came ashore near Galveston, Mustang Island experienced very high tides. The water line came up about two feet on the edge of the boardwalk, but did not breach the dunes.
