Heidi Cluck

I was born and raised in the Dallas Ft. Worth area. At seventeen I moved to Boerne, TX.  I made fast friends with a girl at the high school track. After meeting several nights a week to jog and hang out she said, “Let’s go to the beach this weekend.”. I didn’t even know there was a beach in Texas! We started going to the beach every week leaving Boerne at six in the morning to spend the day learning to surf and make new friends. Within that year I had saved up enough money from working at Tapatio Springs Country Club to move down to Corpus Christi. That was 1988. I attended Del Mar Junior College at night and worked during the day. It took no time at all to “Get Hooked” on fishing and hunting in South Texas. It was a game changer for me. I was a founding board member of Saltwater-fisheries Enhancement Association from 2000-2016, Port Aransas Boatmen’s Association 2013 and Auction Chairman for the Deep Sea Roundup 2013.  

I lived in a couple of places in Port Aransas and Padre Island before settling down and buying my first home on the Island in 2000. (What an investment that turned out to be!) I raised my daughter Fischer in that home for the past 20 years. She has had a great life growing up hunting, fishing, learning how to surf and play beach volleyball. Her life growing up on the island was drastically different than my childhood growing up in the concrete jungle of North Texas. Now that Fischer is off to college, I spend half of my spare time at the beach with friends and the other half fishing in Port Aransas and Baffin Bay and an occasional hunting trip a short drive away.

I owned two businesses on the island for almost twenty years and in 2008 switched gears into the oilfield and refinery industry. Now I am ready for Real Estate. I’ve watched Port Aransas and Padre Island develop and grow from a front row seat. Businesses are prospering, beautiful new homes are being built and the schools are top rated here.
