Covid-19 and the Corpus Christi Market

Times have changed – and we are all adapting as the Covid-19 pandemic has swept across the nation. Texas Association of Realtors Chairman, Cindi Bulla said, “I am hearing stories throughout the state of our members rolling up their sleeves and doing everything humanly possible to ensure the health and safety of our fellow Texans. Most will cite food and shelter as the most important things of their lives. As Texas Realtors, we are the shelter experts.”

Our agents are using the CDC guidelines for showing homes and using innovative technology such as Zoom meetings, virtual tours and more to serve clients over the next few months. Our agent Melissa Hladyniuk said, “Business in the vacation market has certainly slowed a little but Real Estate will always continue. People are still relocating for a new job, downsizing and becoming empty nesters and sadly people are divorcing and in need of selling or buying a new property. Thankfully, we have incredible technology to offer amazing remote showings. FaceTime, 360 cameras and social media have allowed us as agents to continue showing listings. One of the best memes I’ve seen online states, ‘If you can find your spouse online, why not your future home?’ I think it’s so on point to the technology era we live in!”

So for us, it’s business as usual, well, not “usual” but a new, temporary normal. If you are interested in buying or selling a home, please call our office at 361-749-4000 and speak with an Island Expert today.

Here are a few of our agents practicing the "Stay Home, Work Safe" order in their respective home offices!
