As the demand for real estate on the island rises, so does the demand for expanding our team. We are elated to welcome three highly professional and talented real estate agents to both of our offices at Mustang Island Realty and Port Aransas Realty. Here is a little bio on Lela Shelton, Sarah Park and Stacy Messex:

Lela Shelton -  (Port Aransas Realty) If you live in or have ever visited Port Aransas, chances are you've seen or heard Lela playing spanish guitar at one of our local restaurants. Lela grew up in Port Aransas and later attended Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree. She became a music teacher both in public education as well as teaching private lessons. Lela has a strong network of family and friends that made her decide to branch out into real estate. She is excited to help others "get on island time." Come to one of her open houses and you may get to hear her play!

Sarah Park – (Mustang Island Realty) Sarah was born in the Rio Grande Valley, but moved to Austin where she was raised and attended college at the University of Texas. Growing up, her family would visit Port Aransas annually during the summer, so being at the coast has always been second nature to her. In 2018 her husband got an opportunity to be the Director of Homebuilding for Fortis Homes in Port Aransas and Rockport, so they packed their bags and moved to the Coastal Bend. For the last decade, Sarah and her husband have been buying and renovating homes. Prior to becoming a Realtor, Sarah did product development and was the Catering Director for Whole Foods Market in Austin.  Sarah considers herself a ‘foodie’ and is the happiest after a long run or a good workout. She has twin daughters, a 12 year old step daughter and a 13 year old yellow lab named Dexter.

Stacy Messex – (Mustang Island Realty)  Stacy has been in the real estate industry in for 14 years. After earning a Business Degree from Sam Houston State University, she began managing rental properties in the Central Texas area. Upon moving to the Gulf Coast in 2012, Stacy opened Barefoot Rentals and Property Management in Port Aransas. Since Hurricane Harvey shifted her property management business, she has been focusing her time and energy on building her real estate business. She specializes in investment properties, but has experience buying and selling homes all over the coastal bend. Stacy resides in North Padre with her three children, Madie, Hunter and Levi and Buck the Boxer.
